Belviso RadianceLift CaHA has been presented as a modern product for intradermal injection, whose main aim is to improve skin quality: its hydration, elasticity, smoothness, texture and radiance. It is not a classic volumising filler intended for modelling the facial contour or correcting deep volume deficits. Its place in aesthetic practice should be understood primarily in terms of skin boosting, i.e. a therapy that improves the condition of the skin from within.

The product’s formula is based on three groups of active ingredients: calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres at a concentration of 0.5%, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid at a concentration of 18 mg/ml, and bioactive peptides. This combination is intended to provide both a rapid hydrating and smoothing effect and long-term collagen stimulation.


Low-concentration calcium hydroxylapatite: subtle skin biostimulation

Calcium hydroxylapatite, i.e. CaHA, is a biocompatible and biodegradable ingredient. In Belviso RadianceLift CaHA it is used at a low concentration of 0.5%, which distinguishes this product from classic volumising CaHA products. In this case its role is not intensive tissue modelling, but a gentle, gradual stimulation of the dermis.

The CaHA microspheres act as a biological scaffold for regenerative processes. After injection, they are intended to support fibroblast activity and stimulate the synthesis of type I collagen. The result of this process is a gradual improvement in skin density, firmness, tone and resilience. The presentation emphasised that the structural improvement of the skin builds up over time, and that its peak may appear between the third and sixth month after the procedure.

Non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid as the component of immediate effect

The second key ingredient of the product is non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid at a concentration of 18 mg/ml. Its main function is intensive skin hydration and achieving a subtle “plumping” effect from within. Thanks to its hygroscopic properties, HA improves tissue hydration, reduces skin roughness, supports the hydrolipid barrier and gives the skin a fresher, more radiant appearance.

The non-cross-linked form of hyaluronic acid means the product retains a light, fluid consistency suitable for mesotherapy and skin-boosting techniques. In practice, this means it is possible to work in the superficial layers of the dermis without the intention of adding volume typical of classic fillers.

Bioactive peptides: support for regeneration and reparative processes

The third group of ingredients consists of bioactive peptides. The presentation describes them as signalling molecules supporting fibroblast proliferation, angiogenesis, reparative processes and an anti-inflammatory action. Their presence is intended to reinforce the biostimulating effect of CaHA and improve the overall condition of the skin.

In clinical terms, the peptides serve as a component that modulates the regenerative response. They do not act solely on the surface, but support the processes of extracellular matrix remodelling, which is relevant in patients with dehydrated, dull, thin, lax or tired skin.

Mechanism of action: two stages of skin improvement

The action of Belviso RadianceLift CaHA can be divided into two stages.

The first stage comprises the immediate effect, resulting mainly from the presence of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. After injection, the skin becomes more hydrated, smoother, more elastic and more radiant. The impression of dryness, greyness and skin fatigue is reduced.

The second stage is long-term in character. After the hyaluronic acid is gradually metabolised, the CaHA microspheres remain in the skin and are intended to act as a scaffold for newly formed collagen. Fibroblasts migrate to the injection site and synthesise type I collagen, which leads to a gradual improvement in the thickness, tone, resilience and resistance of the skin to laxity.

The essence of the product lies in the difference between a skin booster and a classic filler. Classic fillers are used mainly for volumisation, modelling the facial contour and correcting deep wrinkles. Belviso RadianceLift CaHA, by contrast, works in the superficial layers of the dermis, where its task is to improve tissue quality rather than to add volume.

For this reason, the product may be suitable for patients who do not want a change in their facial features and do not expect increased volume of the cheeks or jawline, but who wish to achieve better skin texture, greater firmness, freshness and radiance. This is particularly important in people who fear an over-accentuated look or unnatural volumisation.

Indications for the procedure

Belviso RadianceLift CaHA has been presented as a product for patients expecting an improvement in overall skin quality. The indications primarily include dehydrated, dull skin lacking radiance, with uneven texture, early signs of ageing, fine lines, roughness and loss of firmness.

The product may also be considered in younger patients as part of the prevention of skin ageing, where the aim is to maintain its elasticity, hydration and healthy appearance. The second group consists of patients with early signs of ageing who are seeking subtle revitalisation without an effect of excessive modelling.

Treatment areas

The presentation indicates four main treatment areas: the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

On the face, the aim of the procedure is to improve skin texture, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, increase the level of hydration, restore natural radiance and reduce signs of fatigue. In the neck area, the product can serve to improve firmness and elasticity and to reduce the effect of thin, “papery” skin.

On the décolletage, the therapy is aimed at revitalising thin, sensitive skin, often exposed to photoageing. In the hand area, the aim is to improve skin density and firmness, reduce the visibility of fine wrinkles and provide gentle rejuvenation without adding volume.

Treatment schedule

According to the presentation, the recommended series usually comprises three procedures performed at intervals of 3–4 weeks. A booster procedure can then be performed every 6–9 months, depending on the condition of the skin, the patient’s age, lifestyle, exposure to UV radiation and the individual dynamics of ageing.

This schedule corresponds to the product’s mechanism of action. Skin hydration and refreshment may be visible quickly, whereas collagen remodelling requires time and repeated stimulation.

Injection techniques

The presentation mainly describes the micro-bolus technique and the linear technique.

The micro-bolus technique involves delivering small deposits of the product in a grid pattern across the entire treatment area. The product reaches the superficial layers of the dermis, which enables an even improvement in skin hydration, elasticity and structure. The material indicates the use of a 30G x 4 mm needle, a depth of about 4 mm and spacing between points of 1–1.5 cm.

The linear technique involves delivering the product along fine wrinkles and lines in the form of thin threads. It is particularly useful in areas where wrinkles are linear and diffuse in character, for example on the neck and décolletage. The presentation also shows the use of a 25G or 23G cannula of 70 mm in length, which may be helpful when working on larger surfaces and in delicate areas.

The choice of technique has clinical significance. Precise distribution of the product reduces the risk of irregularities, enables a more harmonious effect and allows the procedure to be adapted to the thickness of the skin, the location of the problem and the expected result.

Post-procedure care

Proper conduct after the procedure affects patient comfort, safety and the quality of the final effect. Immediately after injection, the presentation recommends gently distributing the product within the tissues, without intensive pressure. Any massage should be light, performed carefully and in accordance with the decision of the person carrying out the procedure.

For 24–48 hours after the procedure, exposure to the sun and UV radiation, tanning beds, intensive physical exertion, saunas, swimming pools, hot baths and alcohol should be avoided, as alcohol may intensify swelling and increase the risk of bruising. Make-up should not be applied immediately after the procedure; the presentation indicates a minimum interval of 12 hours.

Typical post-procedure reactions include redness, swelling, tenderness, a feeling of tightness and minor bruising. They usually resolve within 24–72 hours. Small papules or raised areas may be visible during the first 1–3 days and usually gradually absorb.

Safety and contraindications

Belviso RadianceLift CaHA has been presented as a product based on biocompatible ingredients; nevertheless, every injectable procedure requires qualification, assessment of the skin’s condition, knowledge of anatomy and adherence to the principles of asepsis.

The contraindications indicated in the presentation include hypersensitivity to any component of the product, active skin infections, inflammatory conditions, herpes, open wounds or skin damage at the site of the planned injection. Particular caution is recommended in patients with autoimmune diseases or a history of severe allergic reactions.

The product should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women owing to the lack of clinical studies in this group. Caution is also required in patients taking anticoagulant medication, as the risk of bruising is greater in them.

Possible side effects

The most common side effects are mild and transient in character. They include swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising at the injection site. Cool compresses and preparations with arnica or vitamin K may be used as an adjunct, provided there are no contraindications.

Less frequently, papules or small subcutaneous nodules may occur, usually associated with injection that is too superficial or uneven. Infection is described as rare but possible, especially with inadequate asepsis. In such a case, prompt medical assessment and the implementation of appropriate treatment are necessary.

Combining with other procedures

The presentation indicates that Belviso RadianceLift CaHA should not be combined with other invasive procedures, such as laser therapy, radiofrequency or deep peeling, on the same day. After such procedures, use of the product may be considered after about 14 days, depending on the skin’s reaction and the decision of the person qualifying the patient.

The material also describes the possibility of combination therapy of the mesobotox-with-CaHA type in the neck and décolletage area. Such a combination requires particular caution, because botulinum toxin is a medicinal product. Combined procedures should be performed only after proper qualification, taking into account the indications, contraindications, anatomy, dose, technique and the patient’s informed consent.
