✅ Active Ingredients
Poly-L-Lactic Acid — PLA/PLLA A biodegradable material with good bioabsorbability and biocompatibility. After degradation in the body, PLA products are excreted through metabolism, meaning they have no harmful side effects on the human body. It acts as a powerful stimulator that induces the formation of collagen, which in turn strengthens and increases the volume of the treated area. The remaining PLLA stays in the human body with a half-life of 3 years.
Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid — HA Provides an immediate and good volumetric effect compared to preparations containing only PLA or PLA with non-cross-linked HA. Its specific rheological properties help define the appearance of the cheekbone, jawline, or chin, adding extra volume while ensuring tissue softness. The HA molecules surround the PLA molecules, preventing the product from migrating within the skin. It also allows excess preparation to be easily corrected using hyaluronidase.
✅ Indications
Filling soft tissue deficits and furrows
Facial volumetry
Need for strong lifting and skin-tightening effect
Stimulation of fascia in tissue
✅ Mechanism of Action The preparation acts through a combination of immediate filling and a long-term immune reaction leading to neocollagenesis. Immediate Phase: The cross-linked hyaluronic acid provides an immediate volumetric and filling effect. The HA molecule surrounds the polylactic acid, stabilizing it and preventing migration in the skin. The rheological properties of HA help define bone structures while maintaining soft tissue feel. PLLA Degradation and Immune Reaction Phase: Injectable PLLA works in the deep dermis to create collagen. The PLLA undergoes a two-step degradation process:
Random enzymatic degradation leading to a reduction in molecular weight.
Low molecular PLLA is phagocytosed (“eaten”) by macrophages. This triggers an immune reaction that activates fibroblasts to produce new collagen. This neocollagenesis replaces lost collagen, providing a strong lifting and tightening effect that smoothly takes over as the HA is absorbed.
✅ Belviso PLA Filler vs Standard Fillers/Stimulators — Key Differences Belviso PLA vs Standard PLA Fillers:
Preparation: Belviso PLA is a ready-to-use gel with a uniform consistency, whereas standard PLA requires dissolving powder in water for injection with many hours of waiting time.
Safety/Lumps: Because of its uniform gel consistency, Belviso PLA does not cause polymer lumps in the skin, which is a risk with standard PLA.
Volume Effect: Belviso PLA provides immediate volume augmentation, whereas standard PLA takes about 2 months.
Side effects & Correction: Standard PLA causes swelling and cannot be corrected. Belviso PLA causes no swelling and can be corrected with hyaluronidase.
Belviso PLA vs CaHA / CMC Fillers:
Swelling & Volume Loss: CaHA or CMC fillers often cause an initial large swelling followed by a 2-3 week volume loss. Belviso PLA causes no swelling and maintains volume.
Correctability: CaHA/CMC cannot be corrected, whereas Belviso PLA can be corrected with hyaluronidase.
Belviso PLA vs Standard HA Fillers:
Duration: Standard HA lasts about 1 year, while Belviso PLA lasts 2 to 3 years.
Migration: Standard HA can migrate, but Belviso PLA does not migrate because the HA surrounds the PLA molecules.
Collagen Stimulation: Standard HA does not stimulate collagen, whereas Belviso PLA does.
✅ Treatment Effects
Immediate volumetric and filling augmentation
Even and long-lasting volumetric effect for up to 2 to 3 years (accounting for product absorption)
Strong lifting and skin-tightening effect
Continuous increase in volume through neo-collagenesis
No swelling after the procedure
✅ Treatment Areas
Cheeks and sunken cheek pits
Chin
Jawlines
Tear trough (dolina łez)
Temples
Nasolabial folds
Marionette lines
Zygomatic bone area
✅ Key Benefits
No swelling: A major advantage over CaHA, CMC, and standard PLA preparations.
Ready to use & No lumps: The patented gel formula means no mixing with water is required, and its uniform consistency prevents the formation of polymer lumps in the skin.
No migration: The unique structure where HA surrounds PLA completely prevents product migration.
Correctability: The presence of cross-linked HA allows any excess product to be immediately corrected with hyaluronidase.
Synergistic Dual Action: Combines the immediate volumetric effect of cross-linked HA with the long-lasting (2-3 years) neocollagenesis and lifting properties of PLA.
